The mandate of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency in line with the edict establishing the Institution are:
(i) To carry out planning, execution and evaluation of road maintenance activities in the State;
(ii) To make policy recommendations to Government on matters relating to road maintenance and safety on roads;
(iii) Repair and rehabilitation of roads within the State;
(iv) Maintain all existing roads and other hydraulic facilities, plants and equipment;
(v) Carry out other assignment as might be given by the Governor
